Cindy-Lee Overton was the senior teacher and coach of 1st Danz for over 10 years. It was voted top studio in 2015 and was a dance studio/club located in Ft. Myers boasting one of the largest dance floors in the area. 1st Danz offered classes every day of the week in Ballroom, Swing and all the Latin dances.

As an independant instructor she is continuing to pursue the highest standard of instruction for the social floor, coaching for competitive dancers and Pro/Ams for the new competitor. She herself is a National Dance competitor in the West Coast Swing, Hustle and Salsa. Cindy-Lee has won many Pro titles in West Coast Swing, Salsa, Cabaret, Argentine Tango and Hustle. Her Argentine Tango and West Coast Swing Teams have consistently placed first in National Comps. Her Pro/Am students have also placed in their competitions.

Cindy-Lee studied dance at Stepping Out Dance Studios in NYC with Angel Figueroa and Peter Delfalco, Dance Manhattan with Fabienne Bongard and Rebecca Shulman, and with many of the top National Champions in all dance forms. She obtained her Ballroom training with the Arthur Murray Studios in Charlotte, NC and continues to study with Master teachers as well as Tango teachers in and from Argentina each year. Teaching credits include: National Swing Competitions, SFL Swing Dance Society, Arthur Murray Studios in Charlotte, NC, the All-American Dance Studio in Bonita Springs, FL, and First Dance Productions in Fort Myers, FL.

In addition to her dance background, Cindy-Lee an extensive theatrical and cabaret performance history. She is a member of Actor's Equity, the professional actors union (please visit for more details). Her career started as a jazz/ballet/tap dancer who could sing. She spent twenty years in the NYC musical theatre. She has 2 CDs, has been nominated for the NYC MAC awards for vocal performance and Cabaret story. Cindy-Lee was a resident member of the Light Opera of Manhattan, created the role of Mama in the Vivian Beamont Lincoln Center production of Friends and Relations, and studied voice at the prestigious Julliard School of Music with Claire Alexander. Regional work included many seasons with the Carousel Music Theatre as a featured performer.  Locally, she was featured on the cover of Gulf Coasting in 2001 for bringing Cabaret entertainment of the Ft. Myers area.
